Meet Graeme Lowe

Graeme Lowe is a long-distance swimmer based in the island of Jersey. He has taken on some of the world’s most iconic swims, including the English Channel, Manhattan Island and the North Channel.

His experience extends beyond solo swimming, to relays, support crews, observing and volunteering. This has taught him that a long swim takes more than solitary endurance. It takes a strong team to succeed.

Before he retired Graeme worked as a project manager, bringing the discipline and planning of his work to the water. His memoir, A Life Well Swum, tells the story of his swimming journey and how it led him to find his place in the open water community.

He lives in Jersey with his wife Liz, where the sea is never far away.
